Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Portlogics Inc.("Portlogics", "we", "us") processes personal data when an overseas forwarder ("you") submits a quote inquiry or otherwise interacts with the Portable Partners site at /partners(the "Service").
1. Data controller
Portlogics Inc., a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea, headquartered at JS Tower 11–12F, 184 Pangyoyeok-ro, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea (Business Registration No. 802-87-02308). For privacy questions: partners@portlogics.com.
2. Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: full name, company name, country, email address, phone number (optional).
- Inquiry content: origin / destination, service type, incoterms, container information, cargo description, and any attachments you choose to upload (e.g. packing list, commercial invoice, B/L draft).
- Technical & usage data: IP address, browser / device information, referrer, UTM parameters, and pages viewed (collected through analytics cookies — see our Cookie Policy).
3. Lawful basis & purposes (GDPR Art. 6)
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): handling your B2B quote inquiry and replying with a formal quotation. This is the primary basis for processing.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing pixels) are set only after you accept them via the cookie banner.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): retaining transactional records to the extent required by Korean tax and commercial laws.
4. How we use your data
- To respond to your quote inquiry and engage in pre-contractual communications.
- To prepare and deliver formal quotations and follow-up emails.
- To prevent abuse, secure the Service and comply with applicable sanctions screening.
- To analyze aggregated usage and improve the Service.
5. Sharing & processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, each under appropriate contractual safeguards:
- Cloud infrastructure & database: Supabase (data storage), Vercel (hosting), Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES — outbound email).
- Internal communications: Slack (operational notifications to our sales team).
- Analytics & advertising: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Naver and similar tools — only when you accept the corresponding cookie category.
- Authorities: when required by a binding legal request from a competent authority.
6. International data transfers
Personal data is primarily processed in the Republic of Korea, which has been recognized by the European Commission as ensuring an adequate level of data protection (Adequacy Decision of December 17, 2021). Where data is processed in other jurisdictions by our processors, transfers are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Retention
We retain quote inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to manage the relationship and comply with our legal obligations under Korean law (typically up to 5 years from the last interaction). Aggregated, non-identifying analytics data may be retained longer.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location you have the following rights:
- EEA / UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- Korea (PIPA): the right to be informed, to access, correct, delete and suspend processing of your personal data.
- California (CCPA / CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the meaning of the CCPA.

10. Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures (TLS in transit, access controls, least-privilege roles, encrypted credentials) to protect your data. No method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is intended for business users only and is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
